We transformed Art Bridge’s digital presence into a dynamic, interactive platform that fully showcases the scale and impact of their work
Services: Website Design, Content Migration, Maintenance & Support
ArtBridge empowers local artists to transform prominent outdoor spaces into gallery-quality exhibitions, focusing on NYC’s 300+ miles of construction fencing.
Since 2008, the organization has installed artwork at numerous construction sites, extending from the Hudson Valley to international locations including Italy, South Africa and Brazil. These exhibitions have showcased over 200 artists and covered more than 100,000 square feet of public space, providing significant exposure for creative talent.

The Challenge
We started the project just two weeks before the pandemic struck, adapting quickly to a fully remote workflow and Zoom-based client communications. Like everyone else, we were navigating an uncertain new reality.
Our goal was to design a visually striking website that not only showcased ArtBridge’s mission but also engaged a diverse audience, including artists, city officials, municipalities, community groups, nonprofits, real estate developers, property owners, and the media.
The biggest challenge was the sheer scope of the project—creating hundreds of artist profiles and migrating thousands of exhibits from a partner website.
The legacy website lacked the capacity to support expanding content, making it clear that a new content strategy was essential.

Solution
We focused on creating a new refreshed looked and a user experience that offered clarity, structure, and seamless navigation.
We held multiple discovery sessions with the ArtBridge team to identify custom content types that would extend standard WordPress taxonomies. From there, we developed tailored templates and conducted user studies to refine and enhance the user experience.
Additionally, we developed custom MySQL queries to seamlessly transfer content from the partner website, ensuring data integrity and a smooth migration process.

The Result
We developed a refreshed visual identity and a new WordPress website featuring custom post types for projects and exhibits, seamlessly integrated with a comprehensive location map and donation capabilities.
Additionally, we migrated thousands of images and created over a hundred artist profiles.
Since the website’s launch in June 2021, we have provided ongoing web hosting, content updates, optimization, and support through April 2024.

“Art-Bridge and Limit8 design!
It was great working with Yelena and Limit8, she’s super detail oriented and on top her to-do list! The team constantly over-delivered too! The new site looks great and would work with Yelena and LIMIT8 again.”
